With the holidays right around the corner (can you believe it?!), you might begin thinking of ways to give back to the community. Continue reading to find ways to give back to Lancaster this holiday season!
Giving back to your community can look like many things: you can volunteer your time at the food bank or animal shelter, donate canned food or clothes, or simply a monetary donation to a fund that is special to you. The point of it all is to just say thank you to your community for providing you so much every single day!
Ten years ago, Lancaster county made the idea of “giving back” to the community a huge celebration. Usually held the Friday before Thanksgiving is THE EXTRAORDINARY GIVE ~ Lancaster’s largest day of giving! This day is dedicated to raising funds and donations for small businesses in our town. You, too, can join the thousands of people who support Lancaster organizations on this special day of giving!
In the ten years since it began, this incredible event has raised more than $63 million for regional organizations in Lancaster county. The list of participating businesses is HUGE. There are hundreds of choices to choose from, all in different industries! Aaron’s Acres, A Week Away Foundation, Manheim Township Library, and Columbia Food Network are just a few options.
This year, the EXTRAORDINARY GIVE is being held on November 19. Mark your calendars!!! It’s an event you won’t want to miss.
*Remember, no donation is too big or too small. Even if you don’t donate on this day, supporting local businesses is always a wonderful idea, and we have so many great ones to choose from!
